5/20: First vote of 2010:Evans surprises all in Citizen Poll!

Below is an email we have just been forwarded regarding the first vote taken in the 2010 election cycle. This vote was taken by The Independence Caucus, a citizen’s group committed to an open and fair election process. The vote clearly shows over two-thirds of average citizens have said NO to the party insiders Sam and Justin! We expect this news to shake the party establishment into realizing that an inclusive primary is what is best for our party, rather than party insiders bullying candidates to quit before the voice of ALL the people has been heard!

Hello Fellow Patriots
The votes have been tallied… It is too close to call.
3-Day Run Off Vote
The results are in:
Mark Greenberg 35.8%
Bill Evans 32.1%
Sam Caliguiri 24.7%
Justin Bernier 7.4%
The rules state:
For all endorsement votes involving two or more candidates, each IC member will vote for the candidate that they feel best reflects the principles and beliefs of the Independence Caucus (one vote per voter). Because the membership vote is distributed among several candidates, the threshold of receiving 70% of the vote will be reduced to 60%. The candidate that receives 60% of the vote will be endorsed, however, if none of the candidates receive enough votes to reach the 60% threshold, then the two candidates who receive the most votes will then be chosen for a run-off vote. If this run-off vote, between these two candidates, does not result in one candidate receiving 60% of the vote, then neither candidate will be endorsed.
WE WILL ATTEMPT TO HAVE A VIDEO TAPED FACE-OFF BETWEEN BILL EVANS AND MARK GREENBERG, IN ORDER TO GIVE YOU MORE INFORMATION BEFORE YOU VOTE. YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED LATER TODAY IF THIS CAN BE ARRANGED.
THE VOTING PERIOD WILL END THIS SATURDAY EVENING 5/22
